Amaltheia is a 14th-century stone estate on the clifftops of eastern Crete — restored over fifteen years into one of the most sought-after wedding venues in the Mediterranean. Thirty-two acres of private gardens, terraces, and olive groves surround the main house, all facing the deep blue of the Bay of Mirabello.
We host one wedding per weekend. Your day is never shared, never rushed, never just another booking. From the morning of your ceremony to the last dance of your reception, the estate is entirely, exclusively yours.

02 — The Spaces
Each space flows into the next — ceremony through cocktails to a candlelit dinner under the stars.
Exchange your vows beneath the open Cretan sky, with the Aegean shimmering below and ancient olive trees casting dappled shadows over your guests. The terrace seats up to 120 and can be dressed with a floral arch, draped fabric, or left entirely bare — the view does the rest.

A long candlelit table, Cretan wine, and the laughter of everyone you love under one stone roof. Our reception space is dressed with your chosen florals, set for a feast that carries on until the stars appear. Music, dancing, and toasts that go on just a little too long — exactly as it should be.

Our chefs build every menu from the island — estate olive oil, mountain thyme, line-caught fish, and wines from the vineyards of Dafnes and Peza.

Eastern Crete's golden hour is legendary. The estate's orientation — facing west over the bay — captures every last breath of it for your portraits.

Twelve guest suites mean your closest family sleeps where the celebration happened. Breakfast on the terrace the morning after is part of the magic.
